Meet our Massage Therapist Katie Galvin.
Katie qualified as a level 3 Sport Massage Therapist in 2016 and has since that time worked with many high performance athletes, general keep fit enthusiasts and people who lack mobility due to illness and injury.
Katie has a passion for improving peoples mobility and mechanics to alleviate pain, discomfort and improve peoples function. Katie has trained in some specific soft tissue release techniques, including trigger point massage and fascial techniques.
Katie is the current West Yorkshire and Great Britain Police Rugby Team Massage Therapist, and was part of the team that retained the national championship in 2017. She is also a mum to two teenage girls and is a keep Crossfit participant, regularly competing in local and national competitions.
Katie says ‘I got into Massage Therapy as I was experiencing problems myself from being active and putting my body under a lot of pressure. I realised how much it helped me stay fit and active and now I want to help other people do the same’.
